Wisdom for the Mind

Who made you the arbiter of all that is good and true in this life?

Fire, Ready, Aim.

It’s like that but different.

I don’t argue, I restate my position in louder and more forceful voice.

As long as I get what I want it is fine.

On one hand you are the greatest person I have ever known, on the other….

What is a Karlism

http://www.apartyqueen.com

What is a Karlism:

A Karlism is some brilliant thought that transcends ages and generations. My father when I was a boy would say, “Does your arm hurt if you do that...then don’t do that….”

As I complete my advancement in age and wisdom, on can say they keep on coming. My mother said you cannot get “…blood out of turnip.”

It could be all the year of speech therapy, or maybe just a blessing of genius. Either way, if I could teach the world Karlism’s; absolutely nothing would happen. And that my young Padawan learners this is the first step into a larger world. Let us close with few thoughts:

Is Captain Kirk’s hair piece a tribble on loan?

Does anyone actually watch the Presidential debates?

And never forget the Wisdom of the BLOW, my home town:

“Do unto other and run like hell, or bring you cousins a neighbors and some guy you met 30 seconds ago to the ass whooping.”

Never get behind some in line at McDonald’s that rubs there chin and looks at the overhead menu.

If stopped in the street and strangers ask you for directions, say “Who am I Magellan.”

F@#$ Murphy and his law, make you own fate and set your self up to win.

Worry not for the opinion of Coworkers, Friends, or Strangers

Epictetus said: "If someone reports back to you that so-and-so is saying bad things about you, do not reply to them but answer, "Obviously, he didn't know my other bad characterisitics, since otherwise he wouldn't just have mentioned these." (Nicholas P. White, THE HANDBOOK OF EPICTETUS, Hakett Publishing Company, USA, 1983)

Let the negative thoughts and energy slide past you, be the Teflon human. Once bad energy sticks to you, it becomes yours. Once you own it you can’t sell it, you are stuck.

The seers of the bad want to stack monkeys on your back, you must not allow that, do not let the weak and inferior captain your ship.

If at work people don’t like you for your work or personality, seek them out at the lunch table and the water cooler. Engage them socially wherever you can, their bad take on the universe is not a guideline to define the self, but a shield of power.

In the end the facts speak, if you are in tune with that which matters, your hassle factor will decline.

Who should take action in my life?

Well as Mr. Sage would say it is a short list.

You should take action. If you have problems fix them. Do not expect help or a hand up. If you get it that is great. But don't plan on it.

I think even the biggest mountain get worn down from rain and wind. Bust it up a piece at a time. Shovel won't dig, get a pick, whatever it takes.

Jedi mind tricks are good in the movies and on TV. But in my life, luck has been preceded by my hard work, sweat, and planning for the next move.

It is best, when all the options you offer to you people in your life are all things you want to have happen. That is a "Win Win".

Don't be a Dam, blocking the flow of energy and good-time; but be the channel that directs the water were it will do the most good.

To Block or to Flow

Danems Razor of Community:

It is better to not have communications barriers between people. It is better reach out, clear the air and bring people together. If you are angry at another seek them out and find understanding. If someone is angry at you do not avoid them on the path, but reach out and embrace; let the stream flow on down to the ocean.

A person with peace in the heart will lower their hassle factor.

Key to Life in Millennium: Lower Your Hassle Factor

Key to Life in Millennium: Lower Your Hassle Factor

Axioms of Life I:

To avoid a painful life one should lower their “Hassle Factor.” If for example, at work if a customer complains of something more than one time. Focus on that issue with all of your energy until it is completely resolve.

This will build your relationship with your customer, because you will become chief problem solver.
This will advance you in your career track.
This will begin to lower the main cause of “Hassle Factor.”
Keep your blood pressure low.
Keep a smile on your face.

Axioms of Life II:

Have a solid “plan,” it is important to approach life from a position of strength. If you have a strategic plan in play, you will increase your chances of success. Success will lower your “Hassle Factor.”

Axioms of Life III:

Roy Rule: When in doubt drink Guinness. It is important to have a beverage that you enjoy. One must seek to enjoy life. How many people do you know hate their jobs and their lives? The only person to blame is themselves; anyone can achieve satisfaction, lower their “Hassle Factor,” and get good things out of life at any time.

Focus of My BLOG is to provide a forum for people to share their ideas and plans for a better life. Please share your thoughts. I believe that happiness in life comes from within.

A good first step is to lower the “Hassle Factor.”

Examples:

Hassle - your spouse is mad because the Garage is dirty.
Clean the garage.
In the future clean the garage as after any work. There will be no more Hassle from that issue. The key to understanding “Hassle Factor” is you bring the hassle on yourself you your own action or inaction. THEREFORE: YOU ARE THE ONE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. As they say in Karma Karl speak, it is short list.

Hassle – customers at work think you are incompetent.
Exceed their expectations. Learn their vision of your product, and reach father than their vision.
They will come to rely on your every work. When your promotion comes there will be much sadness and wailing in the streets.
